The Butcher, the Baker, and the Candlestick Maker

Holmes County, Ohio

The Butcher: tour the Carving Museum and learn more about the best kitchen cutlery in the world at Warthers in Dover, Ohio.

The Baker: watch cake decorating at Kauffman's Country Bakery.

The Candlestick Maker: visit Lamplight Candle and watch a candle carving demonstration.

A trip to Amish country would not be complete without a stop to Heini's Cheese House and dig in for lunch at Dutch Valley Restaurant or at an Amish Home Style cooking at its best! Take a break for this fun-filled day!

Island Hopping

Put-in-Bay & Kelleys Island, Ohio

Summer isn't summer until you cruise to the islands aboard the Goodtime I to Kelleys and Put-in-Bay Islands. See Inscription Rock and the Glacial Grooves at Kelleys Island aboard a tram tour. Then, enjoy lunch aboard the Goodtime I as you cruise over to Put-in-Bay Island. Here you'll have time to leisurely enjoy the Island on your own, where you can rent a golf cart, go sightseeing, shop, or just relax. Don't let summer go by without signing up for this trip!

Fall Frolic

Peek-n-Peak, New York

What a wonderful time of the year to take a drive through Northern Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York to watch the leaves change to breathtaking colors. The cool, crisp weather is setting in, and fall is in the air. The first stop will be to Peek-n-Peak's picturesque dining room for an incredible lunch. After we depart from Peek-n-Peak, we'll head over to Paschke's Mum Farm, where you'll find a variety of mums, pumpkins, gourds, and apples. Weather permitting, one of the farmers will step on board the motorcoach and take us through the fields. Ready for fall? Then get ready for some Fall Frolic!

Progressive Wine Tour

Ashtabula and Lake Counties, Ohio

Take a "progressive wine tour" through northeast Ohio's beautiful wine region. Your first stop is the Buccia Vineyard, where you'll be treated to morning refreshments of croissants, wine jelly, and grape juice. Next, enjoy the brick oven pizza that is known at Laurello's Vineyard. Sample a mouthwatering, after lunch appetizer at The Grand River Cellars. At Harpersfield Vineyard, your taste buds will delight in their specialty homemade cheesecake. Your tour concludes with a visit to the new Geneva State Lodge, where you'll enjoy cider and a seasonal dessert. Of course, there is lots of wine sampling along the way! Take the "wine-ding" trail!

Lunch, Lighthouses, and Libations

Erie, Pennsylvania

Take a guided tour of the Erie, Pennsylvania, area and see four lighthouses on the Lake Erie shores. Enjoy lunch at the Kelly Hotel which was the first stage coach stop when traveling into New York State. Hear the history and the stories that haunt the old historic landmark. Take pleasure in wine tasting and enjoy a tour at the new Southshore Inn Winery. You're in for an 'Eriesistible" experience!

Just Ducky

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Ride the historic Duquesne Incline at century-old cable car to see a spectacular view of Pittsburgh. Then, see Pittsburgh's gems the "ducky" way that is a land-and-water tour aboard an amphibious vehicle. "quack" your way through town as a guide takes you around the town. Then, enjoy umm-umm delicious Italian cuisine at Lidia's of Pittsburgh, where you'll be treated to a variety of homemade pastas. Bon appetite! Afterwards, shop at IKEA, where you'll find unique designs for your home or office. Take a day off and enjoy what Pittsburgh has to offer you!

Sweetest Place On Earth

Hershey and Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Go to Pennsylvania to see two of the neatest areas on the mop of Hershey, where you'll find lampposts shaped like Hershey's candy kisses, and Lancaster, where you'll find Amish horses and buggies. Both areas have a lot to offer, and they are not far from each other. Appreciate Lancaster for its numerous theaters and Amish history. And, while you're in the neighborhood, you must sample that umm-umm good Amish cooking! While in Hershey, take a simulated ride through Chocolate World to see how that yummy chocolate is made! Experience the 3-D Hershey's Really Big Show movie. Get your picture on a Hershey's chocolate wrapper. Of course, sample some chocolate along the way or, better yet, try one of my favorites, the chocolate/peanut butter milk shake!

I Love New York

New York City, New York

Visit the city that never sleeps, New York City, that is! See the many attractions this busy city has to offer. From the countless number of Broadway shows to the Statue of Liberty, New York City has it all. Take a sightseeing tour of the city and see Times Square, the Empire State Building, Ground Zero, and Central Park to name a few. Go shopping in the fashion district or at the original flagship store, Macy's. On the outskirts, see the Brooklyn Bridge, Coney Island, and Yankee Stadium (in its last year). Get to the Big Apple and see what you've been missing!

Washington, DC

Take a memorable tour to our nation's capital. Stop at the Flight #93 Memorial Site in Shanksville, PA. You'll see the astounding memorials, including the World War II Memorial. Also, see the Capitol, the Washington Cathedral, the Smithsonian Institution, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Arlington National Cemetery, and George Washington's home in Mount Vernon. After visiting this destination, you'll feel proud to be an American!

The Windy City

Chicago, Illinois

Situated along Lake Michigan, the Windy City awaits you! Chicago has many museums to offer, such as the Field Museum. Go to the top of the John Hancock Building and/or the Sears Tower to get a birds' eye view of the Chicago skyline. Stroll the Navy Pier, ride the ferris wheel, and get another birds' eye view of the city. And shopping along the Magnificent Mile is a must! For fun, food, and entertainment, stop in at Tommy Guns for a rip-roaring time, where you'll go back to the gangster days, where you need a password to get into the place. Shhh! Don't tell anyone, just tell 'em Bugsy sent you!

Tulip Time

Holland, Michigan

Always wanted to go to Holland, but didn't want to take the time and/or money to get there? Well, Holland is located right here in the United States in Holland, Michigan! See more than a million different types of tulips in bloom at one time during the Tulip Time Festival, which is held during the first two weeks of May. You'll see other attractions that make you feel like you're in Holland, such as the windmill that is originally from the country of Holland, located on Windmill Island in Michigan. Also, the ambiance is enhanced by Holland architecture, Dutch attire, and Dutch-flavored food. If you can't afford to go the Netherlands, let the Netherlands come to you!

Boston Tea Party

Boston, Massachusetts

You're going to a tea party in Boston? Maybe not, but you can relive the days of the Revolutionary War by walking the Freedom Trail and seeing the prominent points of interest along the way, such as where Paul Revere's Midnight Ride took place. See the Cleveland Indians play the Boston Red Socks at the Green Monster, better known as Fenway Park, America's oldest ballpark (besides Yankee Stadium). Go Tribe! Listen to the Boston Pops in concert. Go whale watching! Have a beer at the original Cheers, and even sit in Norm's seat at the bar. And save room for that live lobster right from the Bay, cooked and then smothered in melted butter! You won't be disappointed!
